Enjoyed the final table though I thought Casey Kastle slowed played too many hands and it eventually caught up to him against Toto Leonidas (A/5 vs. Q/J). |

There has been more post flop play shown for it then anything else out there short of the WSOP ME.
The reason it was so high at the end was due to how long they had been playing. ANY tournament can have ridiculously high blinds if it has gone on long enough. |

Seriously. That's just embarrassing. Either that or he needs to wear a bag over his face. |

ANY tournament can have ridiculously high blinds if it has gone on long enough. | the PPT is handled by the same production company as the WPT. the tournaments begin with deep stacks and a slow blind structure, similar to the WSOP. however, they have an accelerated blind schedule put in place for the final table, which is designed so that the final table wraps up quickly and can be edited into a 2hr show. they are compromising the integrity of the tournament and the pride of the victory, by accelerating the blinds so they can cut their own production costs. |

The guy, the two women.
I still think that this final table was one of the better ones all year and not as lame as gun mentioned earlier. |

That is not an accelerated blind schedule unless they changed dealers every 10 mins.
I am aware that the PPT is made by the same company that produces the WPT, however that does not mean that it has the same formula as the WPT. Where did you get the information that the blind schedule was accelerated for the final table?
Edit : http://news.pokerpages.com/index.php...sk=view&id=839
According to the above site, the final table lasted 6 and a half hours and had blind/ante increases in 1 hour increments. A 7 hour final table with 1 hour blind increases certainly is not a fast blind structure. WSOP final tables clock in from 10-14 hours, but they start with 9 people. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
