Re: 7/25 WSOP Showboat AC

two tournaments, and twice the pros failed to close it out. this event was sort of dull, I really wanted to see Appleman play. You never see him plan any hands, but he's made a lot of final tables at the World Series.

It was odd to see that guy bust out with J10 against QJ when he made top pair on the flop. Later that night, I saw at least two people bust out in the exact same situation on P* tourneys, one was in Yeltzen's tourney. I guess it goes to show you, when someone raies pre-flop and then the board goes J rag rag and you raise and they reraise, your 10 kicker is no good.

Speaking of Appleman, a $600,000 bet! And a 50-footer to hit 99 for the round no less! That is some serious gambling and some serious money.

Re: 7/25 WSOP Showboat AC

If you read Doyle's recent interview in Card Player, he says he's won/lost more on a round of golf than a session of poker. I find that hard to believe and maybe he was exaggerating, but nonetheless they must gamble for a TON of money on the golf course. Every shot, there's something to bet on ....
