Did anyone see the final game of the PSS round one last night (Sunday, July 23)?? If you haven't, look for the rerun. A lot of how it plays is based on the structure of the tournament: each player needs a certain number of points to move on to the next round. And since this is the last tournament of this round, what everyone needs to move on is crystal clear.

Table is Antonio E. and Phil Hellmuth who have already qualified for the next round, Freddie Deeb and Phil Ivey who need a good showing to qualify, Moneymaker who basically needs first or second to qualify, and Gus Hansen who needs to win this tournament to get to the next round (even second, and he doesn't move on).

I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it, but Gus has an interesting strategy -- he is basically going to move all in in the dark from the first hand until whenever. You might guess that this strategy would be annoying to some, amusing to others.

Anyway, it was one of the best (certainly most amusing) of these episodes I've seen, so try to find the rerun if you missed it!

Just watched it today. It was definately the first time Ive really enjoyed watching Poker Superstars.

I loved Hellmuth's bust-out, considering he knew he could find a better spot to play... He could've just folded to accumulate points, but he called the all-in and complained with his result.
