CEO Poker Championship to air on T.V.

The CEO Poker Championship will be filmed for television broadcast, it was announced yesterday. Mark Sennet Entertainment has signed on to executive produce "The CEO Poker Show," a reality series/documentary featuring footage from the inaugural competition where CEOs will battle for the Chairman of the Poker Room title. The CEO Poker Championship will be held at The Palms in Las Vegas from October 22-27, 2006.

"The CEO Poker Show" will be the first poker reality series/documentary made for television, and will allow viewers to watch footage from the competing CEOs' personal lives as well as scenes from their battles at the poker table.

"CEOs battling to be Chairman of Poker makes for entertaining television," says Mark Sennet. "This is more than a poker show. We want to show viewers another side of the power players that run America's most successful companies and international companies abroad."

"We look forward to working with Mark Sennet on the CEO Poker productions," says William Peraza Jr., creator and CEO of CEO Poker. "'The CEO Poker Show' will now have a production team that has a vision and passion for the sport of poker, while bringing a unique entertaining perspective to the filming of the participants."

This sounds like one of the worst ideas for a poker show yet.

I guess they are running out of real Celebrities to play poker so they are searching around.

Wake me up when they get around to the Playboy Mansion Poker Championship.

Or better yet, how about a series of HU matches between current and ex playmates (last 10-15 years only please). Just get the big screen out and turn the volume down. We'd need to get some additional table cams though.

i suspect we'd be in for LONG segments about the ceo's and their careers. we don't need that in celeb poker (generally) b/c we know a lil about them.

this is just a travesty of an idea.
