All the 'smart' bosses out of commission (Tony, Silvio, and Johnny Sack)

Chips: 73 | | | Re: Sopranos Looks like Tony is back in charge next week, still in the hospital, but taking charge. Looks like NY might be heating up. What's with the gay guy having dinner with NY boss? I can see that guy buying it this year, still can't figure why they decded to make him gay, a little tangent I guess, makes the Finn character funny as hell when he sees him.

unfortunately, like soprano villains before him, vito's doomed b/c he's a dummy. sylvio had an asthma attack. he's not "out of commission." and tony's gonna be a beast when he gets off his meds. i think the season may have been saved last night (hated episode 2, i did)...but vito's slated for a gruesome death, although it may take awhile.
interesting to me: how scary would it be for finn if tony died? then vito'd be freed up to eliminate the only guy that might rat him out for his "secret." when vito ran into finn at the hospital at the moment it seemed tony was out of the picture, i was absolutely chilled at the thought of what was in finn's short future.
anyone else rofl at tony's physiological response to pauly's presence? |

Chips: 73 | | | Re: Sopranos I think it was hilarious when Vito stroked Finn's arm, all I could see was Finn imagining that fat guy fearing him into doing horrible acts. It's kind of a funny little tangent, Finn being the only one that knows Vito's secret and Vito knows that Finn knows. I think Vito took it as a sign that Finn might be acceptable to the idea because Finn didn't tell Tony. I think Finn is just scared when he's around any of those guys and accusing anyone of anything would get him hurt , maimed or killed.

Nice resume material, "Yeah, I was on the Sopranos", "Oh really? What part?". "Oh I was the guy that Vito felated in a Jeep Cherokee", "Um...don't call us, we'll call you, next!"

I think Finn is just scared when he's around any of those guys and accusing anyone of anything would get him hurt , maimed or killed. | i disagree with you guys that finn is in any danger of being raped or coerced into performing sexual acts. he's in MUCH more danger than that. vito can get sex if he wants. what he wants most is to not have others know that he's gay.
think back to similar storylines:
tony and therapy/panic attacks
junior and cunnilingus
bobby and toy trains (not so much, but i just like to think about it).
junior and tony thought they'd be whacked if their secrets got out, and their secrets were MUCH less offensive to the average macho goomba than vito's.
with tony alive, i think vito and finn have reached an acceptable standoff. vito knows that if finn talks, he's (vito) dead. finn only knows that a very dangerous man if being aggressive to him. he knows to shut up so that he can stay out of that stuff. (but as we've also learned over the years, normal people don't get to choose to stay out of it. if something brings you in, you're in (think last season's landscaper)). vito can't touch finn as long as tony's boss. finn won't talk b/c...well why would he? and to whom? he's scared as hell!
with tony gone, finn becomes meaningless and expendable. pray for tony's health, finneas fogg! |

Chips: 1,845 | | | Re: Sopranos episode 3 I thought it was a great episode. I was a little skeptical after last week, but I'm usually willing to give this show some slack. That was classic with his reaction to Paulie. Anyone else get the chills when he heard Meadow's voice from the bushes while he was taling to Tony B. at the inn? All in all, very well done and while the whole purgatory scenes were interesting, I'm glad they wrapped it up in a couple of episodes. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
