Apparently, Phil Gordon is sick of hosting Celebrity Poker at The Palms. Phil Hellmuth has been in talks to replace him depending on time obligations. I hate CP, but I'd watch to see Hellmuth criticize people.
Watching celbrity poker got me interested in poker because it was fun watching celbrities play. Now, only a few months later it's hard for me to watch unless I know some of the more experienced players are at the table. I would certainly tune if Phil Helmuth was the color man.
The most annoying poker star coupled with the worst poker show on TV.
Phil Hellmuth and Celebrity Poker deserve each other!
I'm not sure if this one is the worst or that amateur night abomination from ultimatebet on TV late last night...does everyone at the table have to say "fold" during every single hand? I think I watched about 1.5 hours of this and don't recall now whether or not I saw one showdown or even one suckout.
Another interesting thing was the cards that were dealt....seemed like no one ever had a real hand which makes me wonder why during every online table I play there is always a big hand from a number of people at the same time....so much for computer generated random shuffling being like the real thing.

That show is dreadful, the chip stacks are so small, you don't get to see any poker. It just goes 'fold, fold, fold', then all-in from small blind with Q4 offsuit. The format is terrible. You don't get any skillful play, it is essentially just an UB advertisement.
From the reactions, I'd gather that most people here aren't all that familiar with the general attitude of some members of the Stanford University community. That "holier than thou" attitude isn't exactly unknown there, and as most of you know Helmuth's wife is a psychiatrist at Stanford.

Exactly what are you saying? It isn't ok to have that attitude?
