Doyle is such a great person, as well a poker player. They touched on Bary G. Chan, and a few others.
It was a great show, and I look forward to more.
The other thing I was a little surprised at was they didn't mention Todd. They touched on his daughter who passed on, but no mention of Todd. |

The general theme is to talk about someone's mishaps or struggles.
an athlete given up for adoption, an athlete who didn't get many scholarship offers, losing a sibling during childhood, divorce
they don't touch on Todd, because Todd has nothing to do with any painful experiences in Doyle's life.
the show generally focuses on a single person and their struggles... |

Then why Barry's story?
If it's about Doyle, then concentrate on Doyle. Chan and Barry have nothing to do with the story.
I hear what you are saying, but that lends little to format that was followed. That being the case, it should have been called "Beyond the Glory, the story about Doyle, Chan Barry"
None the less, I enjoyed it. |

Someone aught to belly up and take the lead on a series showing 60 minutes of a pros life story. Somewhat of a documentry type format.
Start with Doyle, Slim, Chan, Berry, Daniel, Jen, Duke, Howard, (no, not that Howard), Nguen, etc.
That's a seasons worth of programming right there. |

I am anxiously awaiting the 2nd Stuey Ungar movie which won't come out until 2009 or 2010. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
