New WPT this Wednesday, March 1

Last night at the home game (where I pwned btw), I mentioned the upcoming new episode of the WPT this Wednesday March 1. These guys are AVID poker on TV watchers, but they didn't know that the new WPT episodes start this coming week. The ads have been saying "New Season" begins March 8, which is true, but this coming Wednesday's episode is a premire episode of a "Battle of the Champions" -- an extra tournament, as opposed to the regular season of tournaments. (Interesting final table too: Tuan Le, Eli Elezra, Alex Brenes, Michael Gracz, John Stolzmann, and Daniel Negreanu.)

I thought I'd post this in case others have the same confusion -- yes, the regular season of WPT starts on March 8, but this Wednesday March 1's episode is new. So TV poker fans, set your TIVOs.

Saw this yesterday while I had Travel Channel on in the background while sitting on the computer. Glad I heard, otherwise I would have missed it. A good table too, should be an interesting game.

Sorry if I'm hijacking this thread, but this one isn't on TV, but rather for those who might be in the S.F. Bay Area.

LIVE - Starting tomorrow 2/27, at Bay 101, the WPT Shooting Stars Tournament. Runs through until Friday 3/3. As far as I know there is no charge to spectators, but you'd need $10K to play
