Let's act like it! The US showed Canada what was up in hockey.
Argentina showed the US what was up in basketball.
Let's get serious now! |

How about changing "Aussie" to "WSOP spoiler" in the title? |

It's not like they put 5600 people behind closed doors and played survivor. It's plastered all over Cardplayer mags and the WSOP website. If you read poker websites your gonna find out. You would have to hide under a rock to not know who's gonna win. I think it makes it better watching it when you know who wins. You can spend more time analyzing how they played their hands to get where they finished.

I was playing in an on-line SNG and turned and it was suddenly 3 left, then heads up and over. No great hands, was like watching a home game. It could have been that Dannegan(or whatever his name was) never seemed very serious or into the game. It was nice to see someone having a good time, but it just didn't seem the same as other heads up matches, especially for the money involved. How much did he get for 2nd?

It was real late when it ended. I cannot remember which player - but one of them admitted to misreading their hand somewhat on the final play. I think that Dannerman believed he flopped a wheel.
Raymer/Williams was (I believe) a legit 5 hand heasdup match. |

Dannerman actually seems to be a fairly solid player. I do not remember seeing him make any really bad moves (like Varkoni did during his win).
Even at the end- 2 pair is good most of the time. Maybe a fold to the large flop reraise would have been correct - but he might have read Hachem for 2 overs. Certainly did not place him on 7-3.
It may just have been the editing, but he did seem to know how to play. His laydown fo AT vs AJ was awesome - even with the obvious posing for the camera (let me check my notes). | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
