it can mean any of several things:
-something that breaks a string of luck for someone. so it cools off the hot streak. (this is most likely what matusow meant, which is what i guess you're referring to).
-a pre-arranged deck, as done by a blackjack team or anyone else. (probably not what matusow meant)
-the worst gambling movie ever, starring william h. macey and maria bello. link |

I don't think so, they even made a movie with William H. Macy a few years back called "The Cooler."

Hellmuth said it in the Omaha event. I guess they're talking about the one hand that can beat them.
Hellmuth had something like AKQQ and the flop was K2Q. He went all in and Williamson called and had KK in his hand. Hellmuth called it a "cooler". And cried, of course. |
