He was guilty of molesting his niece or something like that. Don't like people like that. I wouldn't pay and support any products that will profit his estate.
Nick Cage is the worst actor in the known universe because he is paralyzed from the neck up. I would probably respect him more if he were a child molester.

Don't hold back, tell us how you really feel about him

I don't want to say any more about this, I try to maintain a normal level of subtlety.

It will be interesting to see how Forman treats this topic. He's been hit-or-miss when it comes to how accurately he portrays his subjects ("Amadeus" being a big miss, "Larry Flynt" and "Man on the Moon" being more of a hit), so I wonder how (or even if) he'll portray that aspect of Slim's life.
As for "supporting his estate"... I highly doubt that, by seeing the movie, you're condoning his actions any more than watching "The Aviator" supports the estate of Howard Hughes. (By that logic, anyone who saw "Cobb" would have been supporting Ty Cobb's views and opinions.) I'll put "Amarillo Slim" through the same test I put other movies - I'll see it if the trailers make the movie look good, if there's nothing better playing at the theatre, and if I think it's worth paying $10 for a ticket.
(Odds are, like most dramas, I'll wait until it comes out on DVD. Unlike car chases and explosions, I doubt the life story of a poker player will benefit from a huge screen and theatre sound).
