I recently saw a commercial on FSN that stated they were going to run the new season of Poker Superstars at the same time as Monday Night Football. Mistake. In the commercial they suggest watching two TVs at once. If you ask me to tell everyone that it will be on at the same time as MNF is a braindead move on their part.
FSN is expanding poker on Sunday as well and will be going up against Sunday afternoon football as well (with repeats on Tuesday).

On September 27, Fox Sports Net will launch a new 26-week instructional poker series entitled “Fulltiltpoker.net Presents: Learn From The Pros.” After the initial episode, the show will air on Sundays at 4:30pm EST, with repeats on Tuesdays at 8:30pm.
The show’s hosts will be Chris Rose of “The Best Damn Sports Show Period” and highly-regarded poker professional, Howard Lederer. They will discuss a specific poker strategy each show, the first of which will be when to go “all-in.”
George Greenberg, Fox Sports Net’s Executive VP of Programming and Production hopes to possibly make the series into a DVD. He feels poker still has several more years of strong ratings left on television.
"It’s like watching golf, you not only enjoy the competition, but you also can glean something for the next time you play,” he said.
So poker has a few more years left of ratings eh? Sounds like FSN thinks poker will just be a temporary fad and has just "several years" left to watch before the world gets tired of it.
Time will tell. Milk it for all its worth while its popular I guess.
I don't think there are several years left of good poker ratings... I think this is the last year. At least for Hold'em... seriously how many times can watching a bunch of preflop all-ins be interesting?

Well, if you are talking about the shows that FSN shows, then yeh. They will fail very quickly.
P.S.
I realize that I just replied to someone that more than likely flame me for all it's worth and I now put on my FRS to take the brunt of the storm.
