Downside to using PT3 - is there any?

I have not been using PT (I know it's not smart since I play online a lot). When I went to the PT site I saw PT3 is in Beta test. I downloaded it and plan to use it. Is there any known issues I should know about? I looked through the site but didn't see any listed. Does anyone else use it?

I am hesitant to pay for PT when I know PT3 will be out of Beta sooner rather than later

Thanks in advance for any info
J

The only possible downside that I can think of is that if you use a HUD, there may not be support for PT3 yet. I am pretty sure that PAHUD does not work on PT3

maybe a bit ot, but I use Holdemmanager and I'm very pleased since it got an own HUD. You don't need any extra software except a postgreSQL database.

The only downside I to using a tracker is that your pc looks like a computer from the NASA.

I thought PT3 was going to have PA HUD embedded into it?

Also, if you buy PT2 or PA Hud and you upgrade to PT3 within 2 months, you will be credited 100% towards the purchase. I will get 20% of my purchase price credited as I had the two programs for over a year.

The next release of PT3 is suppose to have the beta HUD in it. In the mean time there is dave's AHK script for a HUD. They are trying to get PT3 for commercial release by the end of April.

Last month, they were aiming for a mid-March commercial release.

The new release will probably be 5/1/08 because I bought PT2 on 4/29/07.

If PT3 releases, without an embedded HUD, that's enough to make me buy a competing product.

According to the PT3 website, PT3 and PokerAce Hud will be combined into the same application. Check out the FAQ here.

Re: Downside to using PT3 - is there any?

Looks good then. It would have been monumentally stupid of them not to include it.
