Arrow Poker Game Watch DVD (tourney tool)

I use this DVD and I love it, thought others may want to check it out.
NOTE: I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH THIS WEBSITE, I just love this product.
Manufacturer: www.pokergamewatch.com
Retailer(s): Poker Game Watch DVD - The finest DVD tournament poker clock available
Average Price: $11.99 (free shipping for a limited time)
Material: DVD

Pros
  • Being a DVD, it is the ultimate in portability (who doesn't have a dvd player these days?) No need for a laptop or expensive "poker-genie" type machine. This can even be used in a portable dvd player (albeit smaller than a tv screen display) and an ipod version is also available. I imagine that some game consoles also play DVD's. I just put the flat DVD on top of my chips inside my case.
  • Foolproof to use: pop it in, get your remote handy and go!
  • The graphics are nice, but the real advantage here is the display: The level time is prominent, as well as the current blinds levels (and antes if you want to use them). Next blind levels and antes are also clearly visible
  • There are a great number of standard options and graphics to choose from for the standard price. A HORSE tourney disk is also an option.
  • Completely CUSTOM programs are offered for an upcharge. You can have the level times changed, blind amounts, etc.
  • Visibility: The best I have encountered, short of a casino set up. The bigger your tv, the bigger the image and certainly more visible than a laptop screen or a "genie" type machine display.
  • There is a bell that rings at the end of each level. No more questions from players about how much time is left, what are the next binds/antes, etc. If you need a break or have a "situation" all you have to do is press the PAUSE button on your remote or dvd and the tourney will resume as normal when you press PLAY.
Cons
  • A tv and a dvd player is required to use this product. (Or a portable dvd player with integrated screen.
Price
$11.99 (free shipping for a limited time). In my mind, this product has paid for itself many times over.
Looks
Looks as it applies to this product: great background graphics to choose from along with your choice of colors and display format. All pertinent info is prominently displayed in all formats.
Durability
I have had mine for over a year and the dvd will last as long as any with proper care. Since it's so cheap, I bought a 2nd DVD with higher stakes / level times.
Reviewers Comments
This product has changed my tourneys 100% for the better. Many who play my games have remarked on how well run they are. I no longer have to deal with all the tourney related questions. I have read descriptions of many products of this type and this one can't be beat for the money. If you do lose it or ruin the disk, it's very economical to replace. No more egg timer, and no one could see the dealer button timer anyway. No one has to risk their laptop computer being carried around.

Re: Poker Game Watch DVD (tourney tool)

Looks good and I've considered DVD blinds schedules in the past, but the TV is needed for background entertainment and I don't want to bring a 2nd TV into the room.

The TV for background entertainment? Hmm.. either you have a lot of sports fans there or someone is using distraction techniques on the "fish". I use the stereo as background entertainment, but only occasionally. Honestly, with the sports fans at my game the tourney would grind to a halt with a game on tv.

Glad you like it! So far this has been the best tourney tool I ever purchased (other than my chips)

Simple idea, and a great price.
Can this be downloaded to a memory card or flash drive?
If so -- it would be ideal for a digital picture frame.
Digital picture frames are kind of expensive, but if you have one
it would be a bigger display than a poker genie and no need for
a dvd player or tv.

I don't know. Contact the link provided in the OP and ask them.
