Deadwood case Pictures

Hi!

I've been thinking about buying some of Deadwood the tv series as I've heard great things. Then they started offering a deal with 3 series + poker chips in a wooden box so I stopped resisting!

Here are some of the slugged chips that came with the DVDs:

And here's the case with my travel set:

Managed to squeeze some bridge-size dal negro's into one of the cardboard card boxes. The recess is too tight for a deck of poker size cards (unless they're naked). Inside, it's felt-covered plastic so probably won't stand up to much abuse. The chip recess is perfect for 200 pre-v7 Nevada Jacks Ceramics. I should really buy some Skulls, Epiphany Tombstone or Deadwoods (not likely) to match better - I'm not sure they had Martini Clubs in the wild west!

Anyway, it's totally impractical as a 'travel set' as the box weighs a bunch but it is real pretty!

Regards,

David.

There are not words in the English language to adequately explain the greatness of 'Deadwood'. Oh how I miss the sweet poetry of one, Al Swearengen. Shameful that it was canceled for that train wreck, 'John from Cincinnati'.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Love the find...

I know what you mean, I can't even watch 'John from Cincinnati', it almost damages my memories of Deadwood...

As for the chip case, I must admit I love any chip set that comes with its own shotglasses...
