Where do you keep the Cash during a Game?

We currently just put our cash in a zipper bag in a drawer, but I'm thinking of getting a nice cash box. Any recommendations? Anyone use cash register?

i use a cash drop box. its large and heavy. with a good lock. a cash register would be sweet though

Back when I hosted games, I used a wheelbarrow. When that got full, I put the overflow in the bathtub.

I keep the cash in my right pocket. Since I am the host, players give me cash for the amount of chips they want, and I go and get the chips for them (as they have no access to the chips themselves at any point).

When they cash out, I pay them from the cash in my right pocket.

Haven't had any problems with this method.

- we tend to use one of those old aluminum cases the cheap chips came in or a dedicated rubbermaid box with a clip thats divided up as a cash box.

initially the first buy-in is often put in the upside down acrylic part of the birdcage carrier i use.

If i were ever to decide to hold games with strangers then I'd consider something more secure but the way it is now everything is very safe, more or less its just in a case so it doesn't get knocked over by any animals (cats/dogs) running thru

We normally play in my kitchen so we put the money in the bowl of my wife's KitchenAid stand mixer. Crazy huh.

All our buy ins and rebuys get put in a tall glass screw top jar (meant for short spaghetti I think) which is then put on the mantlepiece of the fireplace, behind the table - everyone can see the jar bulging with loot by the end of the night. Kinda cool.

I just use a cash box from Office Max. I keep 40 $1 bills and a roll of quarters in it which might be overkill for $0.25/$0.50 NL, but oh well.
