What's the most expensive chipset you've played a full home game with

I've noticed a lot of chiptalkers have very nice chips. Some sets that I find astonishing when I consider the money invested in them. I myself, am now in the middle of building a PNY tourney set and a St. Jo's cash set. So while I was spending my hard earned cash on these great chips, I began to get nervous over the thought of my buddies splashing around chips that I paid up to $2 a chip for.

So, I was wondering what the price range is on the chips that you guys have used at least once in a home game. And if you use your expensive chips regularly or bring out the Faux's and Dice for your friends more often.

btw - I currently belong in the $0 - $199 range for 6 player T1000 tourney set of 184 Paulson Trademarks.

I'm building a large original bonds set that I plan to use as my one-and-only cash set. Well, this will be the only set I use at my house. I'm using BCC bonds for my travel set.

I'm in the $200-$499 category. I paid $252 for my set of 525 Mr. Chip WSOP ceramics. My friends all have dice chips.

Re: What's the most expensive chipset you've played a full home game with

I broke out my Condado Beach Paulson set (finally) for a head's up game with a good friend. That would have to be the most expensive set I've ever played with.

Since it was head's up we didn't use all ~1000 chips though.

Re: What's the most expensive chipset you've played a full home game with

played with my Dunes set (or now ex dunes set) once.

used to use my Vineyards (or now ex vineyard set) all the time.

now, I'm left with my PNYs, which I will be using from now on.

either way, each set is/was worth well over $1K

CP are Crystal Park Casino chip, sounds like a very pricey set...

I have a tournament set of PNYs in the mail as I write this, breakdown as follows

200- $25's
200- $100's
90- $500's
20- $1000's (i already have 10)

for a T10,000 tourney of up to 10 players.

I probably check the stoop every 30min throught the day to see if they've arrived yet, can't wait for the first game with them.

Doesn't take long to get up past $1k if you run a 20-30 person tournament with custom chips. Well worth it though.
