I just barely break the $1k mark with 1100 Pharaohs that I use all the time now for our home cash game.

Re: What's the most expensive chipset you've played a full home game with

Not bragging, but it's obvious that the poll should account for $2K plus sets too.

Given that more people play with $1K than any other group, it's seems there's not a clear definition of where the upper echelon really is.

Capstone

P.S. The 2500 ChipCos were $1 ea.

Except for the Protege's I've played with all of my chips...

Believe it or not... The only sets that we've used in our home games have been dice or nasty suited chips in our home games.

Wait... I take that back.

I used to use hot stamp Paulsons about 10 years ago. When I didn't realize what I was sitting on.

Re: What's the most expensive chipset you've played a full home game with

For tournaments either the Ritz Carlton (940) or the Dunes (800) chips. Boths sets well in excess of $1k. For cash games we use Vineyards (620) or St. Jos (1,750). St. Jos exceed $1k due to number of chips, but these probably only average .70 per chip.

I am in the same boat. I have made my dice nice with custom lables. But when I was in highschool, almost 15 years ago, I got to play with my dad and one of friends had a set of custom hot stamp clays, no clue what brand they were. Had a nice leather case and weighed a lot. Could barley lift it.

Wish I knew how has them know.

i think my Olivias are worth more than the face value of the chips. its hard to play a cash game with um when you are worried if they keep the chips you are out money. hahaha

If some of the players take some chips you loose. It's more painful loose a $1 vineyard chip than loose a $2 dollar cash.

Doesn't take long to get up past $1K if you buy more chips of each denomination than you could possibly use, "just in case."
