Chips: 129 | | | Help a newb: Which chips to get next? Hey guys, I'm still a realtively new member, and though I dream of playing with Paulsons, I'm still stuck with a set of a thousand 11.5g dice at the moment.
I'll eventually get myself a set of Paulsons, but while I'm acquiring sufficient funds to do so, I would really enjoy replacing my pathetic excuse for a set of chips with something more respectable. I'm looking for something without metal inserts, though probably not true clay chips just yet, and a set of around 750 or 1000. At this point, I'm leaning towards a set of Sopranos, simply because they're so cheap (around $110 for 1000, I think...). I saw a bunch of sets of 500 All-In chips at ****'s the other day and they may be a viable option too...
Any advice would be appreciated, so please let me know if there are any other options I should consider, especially if anybody has a lower quality set they're looking to get rid of. |

Sopranos and All-in's are also both good option...Out of those 2, I prefer the All-ins, but I would take the Faux Clays over both of those any day. http://www.5stardeal.com/expand.asp?pro=9094

Chips: 129 | | | Re: Help a newb: Which chips to get next? Thanks for the advice. I was just looking at some of the pics of Fauxs in the gallery yesterday, and I think those just jumped up to the top of the list. Only a nickel a chip???? That's a deal that I don't think can be beat... |

I also have the Desert palms "china/pure clay) while they might not feel as good as Faux clay and cost more (.23 per chip for 500) they look great and feel excellent to another good deal if you want a "good" looking set and they come with or without Denoms. You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to jamby again. |

I would have to agree, everyone should love Irish (Se7en).
As for the chips, Faux CLays are nice but there' are only a limited amount of colors left to choose. I love my F.C.'s but I was lucky enough to get the yellows, greys, and oranges along with the standard colors. I think you could go the nexgen route, they have the edge spots and you can label them. Lastly, if you are a fan of the Irish (ND that is), I would jump all over agalvan's chips, they look sweet and with Charlie Weiss as thier Head Coach, in a couple of years you may have the #1 college football teams chips. |

Chips: 129 | | | Re: Help a newb: Which chips to get next? Although I'd prefer to get chips without metal slugs in them, I really just want a set that feels like it doesn't have metal slugs. I've heard that you can hardly tell that Nexgens have slugs, so I may consider them... Unfortunately, my dad's a Purdue grad, so he'd probably disown me if I got Agalvan's chips... | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
