i wanted to share with you all this new and i think one of the best poker simulators out there...I have been playin it since beta testing over the summer but it has reached store shelves. Phil Gordon is on the box.
Besides being able to set up your own game...you can play online (not a gambling program) it also has a fully customizable clock for hosting your own games. ITs not a full blown tournament director software but its very very good. Worth a look if your lookin for something new
Love DDTP2, for $20 it's by far the best bang for the buck in a home game poker clock. It's simple to use, has a big readout easily seen by most players, and the game software is also very good. We use this in our 4 table tournies and it's a big hit!
if you carefully watch HH from the bots they make absurd folds.
(oh for anyone who hasnt thought of this you can make the format like a cashgame: just edit your own tourney make sure the blinds stay the same and make it a rebuy SNG )
I used to play DDPoker2 both off and online all the time, for over a year. They're constantly improving the AI, so it's actually pretty tough now.
I only stopped playing DDPoker2 because now I play for money on PartyPoker. Some of the regular online players on DDPoker2 take it very seriously, and really play like it's real money. I find PartyPoker easier, and I make money, which is a nice bonus...
