I posted these pics a long time ago on thp.com, but thought there might be some newer members that never saw them...
A friend of mine and I built the whole thing from scratch for about $250 in 5-6 hours. The felt is 21oz Titian billiard cloth and was $130 of the total; point being you could build a good table with a lower quality playing surface (velveteen etc...) for less than $150 total and still have a great table. The mahogany legs are from an antique table that had the top thrashed. It’s smaller than what most guys are making but will accommodate 8 guys comfortably, yet the pot is still accessible to who ever is sitting at the ends. It’s also nice because I have an older house with smaller rooms and it fits better. The legs can be removed for transportation or storage if need be but it’s still extremely sturdy and somewhat heavy because I used ¾” plywood for everything...

Yeah CnC - that rail is amazing. Is it just vinyl over foam? Great job all around!
Thanks for everyone’s comments. I made the rail from 1" high density foam and whisper vinyl.
I didn’t use any specific plans for it, all the dimensions where decided during construction. I did use www.diyforum.com/table as reference for the basic idea and to get all the links for supplies except for the Titan felt; I bought that at a Billiard supply store not far from where I live but, it can be found easily just by typing titan billiard cloth in Google - there are many suppliers. I think the only thing that might be better is Simonis billiard cloth but it's even more expensive.
The dimensions are 48" x 65" from the outside of the rail to the oustside of the rail. Playing serface is 40" x 57" because the rail is 4" wide.
