Chips: 13,265 | | | Your table is sweet and its much nicer than the folding model now on sale at COSTCO. Damn California and thier hatred of Sam's. I can't wait to get back to the East Coast - this place is beautiful, but it costs a small fortune just to breath the air.

Chips: 41,578 | | | My mom and I bought three that day. They were $239 each. And original price was actually over $800, but the more recent "close out" price was $398.00.
The tables are very very nice. They look like (well, ARE) very high quality furntiture that double as poker tables. Exactly the type of elegant table I wanted so I could leave it out all the time. The surface stays put very well because of the sheer weight. Leaning on one edge will not tip the table top.
I had been calling all the Sam's in my area for weeks until i found one that was a good enough price for me to snatch some up. I tried to make deals with managers but none would sell for $200 so I waited until i found one that had about 5 left and wated to really get rid of them. |

Anyway, about the Poker Table - Sam's is where I got it, and got a bargain too! It was new - in the box - and marked down from $399.00 (originally) to $239.00. They also had one on display that they agreed to take $175.00 for, but we didn't have room to haul it. Too bad, because it was in great condition! As for the felt - it seems okay, but a little playing will tell....ask Ten, he'll know more about it

Depends on what kind of felt they used. Billiard felt is good and will last a while for home games. If it is speed cloth which some casino's use it will last a long time. I use Velveteen on my tables due to inexpensiveness and it will last just as long. Nice table BTW..... | I've played on that exact table several times in the past year (in Fairbanks, AK, of all places) at a friend's house. The felt is not very good--it sheds quite a bit. It is definitely not billiard felt, speed cloth, velveteen, or faux suede. It is like common felt, although higher grade than fabric-store quality.
The padding and upholstery are great, though. I have never seen the reverse side (dining table) in use, so I can't comment on that. |

They are more like velvelteen than felt. They must have switched fabrics at some point... or maybe only for Texas.
Trust me, this is the first things I checked as I took the table top out of the package. I have two of the tri-fold padded table tops, and they shed like a long haired dog in summer! I hate it, and I was very pleasantly surprised that these "WPT" toppers didn't shed. We played for a couple of hours on Mom's and there wasn't any green debris afterwards. |

For some reason this line made me think of the line above. Our family has always played cards.
