New Table has arrived from Bigslikpokertables.com

For those looking for a reputable table builder, look no further than bigslikpokertables.com. I did my research first. Almost bought a table from bbo then read some of the stuff on the boards about them that wasn't so good. Also after bbo admitted they use mdf for the table surface, and after seeing how they ship, I decided to pass. I heard good things about Eric at big slik and I also live about 40 minutes from Eric. So before my purchase I asked Eric if I could come check the shop out and see his operation. I had gone to see another local builder prior to seeing bigslik. The other guy used basic bed foam and mdf for the table surface. After seeing that guy I went and saw Eric. The other guy can't compete on a quality basis. Eric from bigslik uses maple for his table surface and dining surface. He also has a sweet computerized cnc router, so his cuts are precise. Eric can do it all. Plus his foam was a high quality foam versus the other guy going with cheap foam. My room wasn't big enough for a full sized table. So I had Eric do a custom 75x40 inch table with top. I decided on the swing out cup holders, custom suited speed clothe and custom chip drawer. I also had bought 6 chairs and I wanted the table to match the color of the chairs. So Eric had me bring him an arm of the chair and he matched the stain. It looks great. Overall the quality is unbelievable. I would recommend anybody looking for a custom builder to use bigslikpokertables.com. It took a little over 4 weeks to get the table. I would use him again if I ever ordered another table. Thanks Eric

Table looks great in your room all set up. Glad to have built a table for you and that you are pleased with the operation and end product. Good luck at your game.

Re: New Table has arrived from Bigslikpokertables.com

I couldn't agree more with your assesment of Eric's work! He designed my table too and I couldn't be happier!

Like you, I have to update my chips and therefore I haven't posted any pics of my table with tournament chips yet (ASM custom set in progress)....

Unlike you, I didn't get a drawer because I want figured I'd want my customs to be in a birdcage (kind of like on display) when I wasn't using them. However, now I'm rethinking my decision... Not sure what to do, but if I do end up with a drawer, Eric said he would make it for me...

Re: New Table has arrived from Bigslikpokertables.com

Jondavid 66. Eric does one hell of a drawer. I couldn't fit a 1000 chip drawer due to my size of the table with the legs. But the 500 chip custom drawer Eric did was awesome quality and fit perfectly. I'm sure Eric usually gets asked to make the drawers for the sides of the tables more than the ends. But he made it work.

I'm sorry that my two sets of Walmart chips aren't up to snuff. LOL. First things first. I have my table now, good chips will come soon enough. These will do for the time being.

Re: New Table has arrived from Bigslikpokertables.com

Great table mrpuggie! Congrats and happy playing!

Now, I'd like to step in here and defend BBO. I talked to George when I bought my table from them and he was totally upfront and honest with me. I knew exactly what I was buying and he cut me a great deal because I was a Chiptalk member. When the table was delayed, they called and apologized and kept me in the loop. I had no issues with the shipping and inspected my table when the driver delivered it.

We use our table(the Ultimate Poker Table) roughly once a month and we get nothing but compliments on it. If you are looking for a good value table, I can't recommend them enough.

If you have the $ and play alot more than we do, then yes, get yourself a custom table.

great table. Can you please tell me how you feel about the table top is it sturdy, does it move around on the table. How about when you lean on it? This is exactly the kind of table i am buying next for my dining room so I am just trying to get some thoughts. Thanks.
