Anyone have any experience with MAXUS portable table?

See https://www.maxuspt.com/features.shtml

It is a round table (60") with rail and chip area and a raised 40" playing surface.

  • Breaks down into three components for easy storage or transporting
  • Recessed carrying handles made into the table top
  • Can be transported by 1 person in a car with fold down rear seats, sedan, minivan, SUV, or pickup truck
  • Carrying cases available

screw down surface to base

$600 shipped. Takes slide under cupholders.
Heavy duty bags for shipping are another $165

They have folding chairs for $90 that can be made to match the rail.

Anyone have one of these and any experience with it?

Re: Anyone have any experience with MAXUS portable table?

No.

But, I have two pennies to rub together, since I have a Kestell. Some points:

--60" is probably a little TOO big. Think about it: you should be able to rake in pots without having to get up and reach after every hand. 54" (which i have) is nice.

--I'm totally in the round camp, and the company's web page makes good points about it's virtues (though they make too much about octogons, its not a big diff).

--$600 seems a bit much. A similarly sized Kestell is $400, though if portability is a concern, this looks ingenious.

Good luck

Re: Anyone have any experience with MAXUS portable table?

I actually like the design of the table and the portability. 60" is just right for 8 maybe a little squeeze for 9. I have issues with the raised playing surface though and would make one with a flush playing surface so cards don't get caught in the chipwells. JMO

$600 shipped!!! They must be out of their minds. You can find way better for that kind of cash.

Re: Anyone have any experience with MAXUS portable table?

I'm torn between getting the Philly Poker Table guy to do one or getting the materials and letting my buddy whip them up in his shop.

$300 to my door. Sounds like worse comes to worse I could use it as a prize in a charity thingie if I don't like it.

Anyone have one of these?

I don't have one, but it looks pretty nice for the price. This is the same seller that has the 600-ct carriers.
