For any of the folks that have airbrushed your poker table's felt, how do you get the masking to stick? I really don't know anything about how to do this or to airbrush at all but I took my table to an airbrush artist and he just called me and said that his masking won't stick to the felt so he wouldn't be able to do it. Was wondering if there was any certain masking he should use or if there is a trick to getting it to stick. Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Denny
To be honest...I wouldn't airbrush it at all. It does not last in the long run and your best bet would be to just get some dye sub cloth. Sorry I am of no help with the tape sticking.

They actually start with white cloth and through a dye sub process they can actually infuse your artwork with the cloth. It actually becomes part of the cloth. You can see examples of this at Scott Keen's site. I saw that you are a new member there. Below is an example of the new way to do it on suited cloth.
It costs like $150-200 but is well worth it. They can incorporate anything into the cloth. You could take a pic of yourself playing cards and they could dye sub it to the cloth. The best out there is Lonestar. You can find a link for them on Scott's site along with about 3 others that do this type of work. This dye sub can now also be done on suited cloth. Three Dueces from Scott's site teamed up with Your Auto Trim and now offers this. Go to this link and you can see a few others who offer this. http://yourautotrim-store.stores.yah.../cuprpocl.html
Understand that the price is well worth it. This is the same process that big casinos use for their tables you see on tv.

I agree with the dye-sub..best way to go..but if you have to do the airbrush...have him use spray adhesive lightly on the cloth...there is light adheasive in a can that is NOT permanent....
Thanks guys for all of the help. Sure do appreciate it. I think I'm gonna go with the dye-sub option. Just gotta come up with the funds first.
Thanks again,
Denny
