So at long last I have finish the table. Like to give thanks to all you guys for the emails.
Just a few facts about the construction of the table.
Table rail is built with 730 lineal feet of 3/16" red oak. Has 44 lineal feet of cherry and 44 lineal feet of Maple. Made eight custom cherry, Maple and walnut inlays.
Base has 44 lineal feet of maple and 36 feet of cherry. Base post are 32 lineal feet of 1X4 red oak jammed with pine studs. Base shelf are oak plywood with maple wrapped edged and cherry inlay.
Took me 90 hours on the rail and 125 hours total for the whole job.
Measurements for the table are.
Table rail is 30" from the floor
Rail is 53"X102" on the outside
Rail is 42"X91" on the inside
5" racetrack
32"X81" play surface
Play surface is 29" from the floor
Base shelf are 24"X72"
Table is 240 pounds
My cost is about $850.00. I would sell it for $4,500.00
