The Hammer hits the mainstream

The Hammer has officially jumped the shark.

I love it when a meme becomes mainstream. This is freaking SWEET!

Read the following article in Newsweek!

Thats awesome!

I even saw a commercial for Full Tilt Poker on TV that showed Chris "Jesus" Ferguson bluffing out a newbie big time with a 7-2 offsuit and holding them up. "Mostly its for setting them up for later" - he says.

The Hammer is now Mainstream - the ultimate way to showing how you bluffed someone off a big hand!

That tilt commercial with Jesus is hilarious.

Sad to say I have been bluffed like that before.

I know the feeling. Seems that poker forces you to unlearn all of the natural instincts your parents taught you about trusting people. It's hard to fight that feeling that you get when faced with a big call.

"... but mostly, you just want to SHOVE IT IN THEIR FACE AND SAY 'HA HA, YOU STUPID BUCKETHEAD! YOU FOLDED TO THE HAMMER!'"

Aw, come on, you know that's what you want to say, admit it.

Their descriptions of the commercials are equally interesting -- future, present, past:

Howard Lederer: "Showboat"
Howard Lederer shows you the importance of being able to see into the future.

Phil Ivey: "Details"
Phil Ivey stresses the ability to know what’s going on in the moment.

Chris Ferguson: "Bluffed"
And Chris Ferguson makes sure his opponents never forget the past.
