Chips: 7,134 | | Probably a reraise of 400 would have been better just in case he flopped a set which it looks like he did based on the action. I kinda don't like telling people I busted out with 69o. 69... haha. |

Chips: 594 | | | 78o or suited Ace of clubs (probably a small kicker, 5?) maybe set of 5's or 6's. I'm guessing you lost. |

Chips: 770 | | | I agree a bigger post flop raise would have been better. Then fold to his reraise figuring he's got the straight.
I had a similar situation earyl with daveyboy's dad - flopped 2 pair, didn't raise enough on the flop, let him catch a straight and then called him down for a bunch of chips. |

Chips: 92 | | | I would have play it almost the same way but I would have bet more than 100 on the flop. But I don't think that would have make a difference in the outcome. |

Chips: 7,798 | | | You flop top two on a low, coordinated board with 3 limpers, including the SB. The pot's only 150, so I think the 100 bet is okay. Maybe bet the pot to slightly more discourage the flush draw and straight draws.
But you get check raised by the SB. Your oppenent is betting 1/4 of his chips here. Unless your opponent is ultra agressive with TPGK or a flush draw with 2 overs, he most likely would have to have the straight or bottom set here.
It's early in the tournament, and you'd have 1500 left if you fold. I saw the hand, but writing this out I may lay it down here. Too weak-tight? I'm not sure, but I would tend to respect the check-raise. If he's not scared of giving a free card on such a coordinated flop with no raisers, he's got to be strong. |

Chips: 13,254 | | | Very tough hand. The flop bet of 100 was OK -- a pot-sized bet is likely not going to change this hand.
After the check-raise, I probably would have paused and thought hard, and 51% of the time I make your play, 49% of the time I lay down and move on, the final decision depending on my read of the player (none provided) and my mood. Its that close -- I could see him doing this with an overpair, a set, a straight, or a flush draw. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
