The best is K 6 3, people get mad when they lose with AK to 6 3. | I have a friend who calls this hand a monster - for the same reasons - he has won some big pots with it. It is named after him at Caesars Indiana even by the dealers. His favorite variety is 36d but he will play it unsuited as well.
I have tried to play the hand and almost always lose. |

A LOT of people seem to go all in with any pocket pair. Crazy.
And I have to agree with 63 - I've won a bunch of hands with that. I've saved my tournament life a couple times with it. On BB, short stack, not enough to cover the SB next hand or whatever... so I'm all in with 63.
Hit a wheel once. Hit trip 3s another time.
But in general, I'm with hachkc - it's fold or raise most of the time. Once I decide to play a hand, if it's good enough to play, it's good enough to raise. Gotta try to knock out some crap before the flop. |

| Generally, in hold-em, your money comes from callers. However, it is actually important to raise if you are going to play trash like 63os. You will NOT make money from lots of callers like you will with a premium starting hand. You want to got heads-up and get lucky. Too many players seeing the flop is WAY too dangerous.
Also, be careful in thinking that "I love XXos because it seems to come in when I need it". I used to love 44 because it saved me a few times....however, i figured the reason it hit is because i was playing it far more often and further than 33 and 55. It just SEEMED to hit more, because I was playing it more! |

I guess that's the equivalent of the one that got away fishing lie.... |

Unfortunately, I've been busted out of the last few tournies by going all in (when I'm short stacked) with any combination of face cards. KJ has been a particularly evil hand for me lately (busted out of three tournies with this).
