AA in SB. Casino 1-3NL

Playing at the Horseshoe Bossier City Friday. I'd been playing at a table full of nit regs (think Old Man Coffee x 8 ) and moved to a start up table. At the far end are a 25ish young man and his date, a cute apparently ditzy blonde. Neither knows much about poker (him-a little, her-nothing). He starts with 300, she starts with 200 and on the 3rd hand she doubles up through me when her set of Queens beats my set of Tens. We are all-in on the turn and she never bet/raised.

Now it's a half hour later and I have AA in the small blind.

One limp to the young man who raised to $15. His date calls. It's folded to me and I look down to see two black aces. BB is in for $3, so is the EP limper and the young couple at $15 each. $37 in the pot. $14 for me to call. At this point she has $450 or so, he has about $190 and I have around $400.

How much do I raise? We aren't even talking about smooth calling out of position to end up with a multi-way pot against people who cannot be put on hand ranges.

imo you want both the guy and his date to call. i'd make it $40 expecting to see the flop 3 ways. small, yes, but will accomplish what you want.

Raise to $50 and then when called immediately blind bet the flop for a stack of redbirds to induce action ($100)

Re: AA in SB. Casino 1-3NL

For this reason I'd make it at least $50, maybe even a pot-sized raise ($65).

I raise to $50. BB folds. EP limper folds. Young guy and his GF call. Pot $151 or so after rake.

Flop 886 all red. I think the FD was diamonds. Action's on me:

Re: AA in SB. Casino 1-3NL

Is Hero pot committed at this point? The pot is ~$150, Young guy has ~$140, Girlfriend has Hero covered, so ~$350 effective. Effective SPR is 2.3 vs girlfriend. I think the answer is yes Hero is playing for stacks, so the issue is how much to bet.

Hero should bet $150, effectively putting Young guy all-in and committing Hero vs the Girldfriend. Hero is betting $200 into a $600 pot no matter what comes on the turn, assuming the girlfriend stays in the hand.

Hang on for the win -=- DrStrange

why dont people just tell the whole story and ask for criticism? there is no point stoping after every street because it isnt a choose your own adventure, we will never know what would of happened if you did do something different. at least change the title of the thread and write (incomplete) until the hand is over,

IMO seeing the results can change one way of thinking. Listing hand strat like these street by street is a good way to find a leak. IMO anyways
