Chips: 13,075 | | | Table selection Some people like passive tables, some love to play against the maniacs to amass chips quickly. What's your preference?

Chips: 1,555 | | | I like to play a good mix of all types of players. A few passives, 1-2 LAG's and a rock. If there are too many maniacs at a table it can get real expensive to play a draw. If there are too many passives then its hard to build a pot (but easier to steal blinds).
Typically, I like a challenge and play against tough tables. Helps to develop your skills and be better able to handle all kinds of situations. |

Chips: 132 | | | I can stand loosing a hand from a good player, making a good play, using good cards. I absolutely hate it when I get beat by a bad palyer, making bad moves, using bad cards. I suppose thats part of the nature of the game. Anyone can win. But I would much rather lose to a good, tight aggressive player than a loose and stupid maniac.
Sames true on the reverse side. Smacking around a super loose maniac just doesn't feel as good as winning a pot or two from a real good player. It's kinda like a fight, I'd feel good taking out someone that's a seasoned pro than beat the crap out of some scrawny midget thats throwing haymakers at me. Maybe that's just me..... |

Chips: 2,131 | | This is my perfect mix: A table full of mostly weak tight, with a few weak loose, 1 loose aggressive, and 1 tight aggressive (ME ). |

That's why I rarely play with rookies or people who just don't know the game. You can get killed by making the correct play. |

Chips: 15,974 | | | i'd rather play against bad players of any sort. maniacs are fine; when they call a pot sized bet on the turn with their flush draw, that helps me. i find that in that situation, they hit their flush exactly as often as they're supposed to. not often enough to help them, though.
it sucks to lose a big pot to a chump. but they pay off solid players way more than the reverse. |

Chips: 92 | | | Playing against weak players is the way to win in the long run. Either LA or LP should be good. Just more bigger swings in the bankroll with maniacs. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
