Anyone up for a session review?

My "downswing" at 25NL continues unabated. Last night I lost another $40 in 210
hands. Anyone up for a session review? We swap hand histories from a session
(about 200 hands) and review each other's play.

Here's a teaser:

Poker Stars, $0.10/$0.25 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

SB: $9.90
JoseRijo27 (BB): $26.25
UTG: $9.90
CO: $34.30
BTN: $27.50

Pre-Flop: Ah 2c dealt to JoseRijo27 (BB)
UTG checks, CO calls $0.25, BTN folds, SB calls $0.15, JoseRijo27 checks

Flop: ($0.75) As 2h 9d (4 Players)
SB checks, JoseRijo27 bets $1, UTG folds, CO calls $1, SB calls $1

Turn: ($3.75) Tc (3 Players)
SB checks, JoseRijo27 bets $3, CO raises to $6, SB raises to $8.65 and is All-In, JoseRijo27 folds, CO calls $2.65

River: ($24.05) 8d (2 Players - 1 is All-In)

Results: $24.05 Pot ($1.20 Rake)
SB showed 2s 2d (three of a kind, Deuces) and WON $23.20 (+$13.30 NET)
CO mucked Ad Th and LOST (-$9.90 NET)

Re: Anyone up for a session review?

I don't play online, but folding Top + Bottom pair there was a nice laydown. You bet out $3 at a $4 or so pot, got raised and re-raised - and folded 2 pair, you got the right info off that bet. Maybe I'm way off, but that seems like a very solid play. And the CO player with A-10 has got to call the last $2.65 even though it screams he's beat by a set.

I'll agree with the good lay down.

Without seeing the end result, I thought you were beat with someone having AT but I honestly didn't put anyone on a set of 2's or Tens.

Re: Anyone up for a session review?

Aren't trips sometimes that hardest hands to put someone on in a limped pot?

That said, laying down this hand seems to be pretty solid play considering the results of what the other guy showed.

I wouldn't say that. I've seen and and also have limped in with small pairs hoping to hit a set.

With this hand though, I'm not putting anyone on a set of 2's. With JoeRijo having a deuce and a deuce hitting the flop, I think I would have lost some money with this hand.

Re: Anyone up for a session review?

The first hand you posted was very solid play. I don't think I could have laid down the A2 in the situation.

This is just typical sick play that gets paid off at NL25 on P*. MP didn't respect your pre flop raise because you were the BB and he assumed you were trying to steal so he was defending his pre flop limp with 52

presumably his C-bet and subsuquent raises were stupidty thinking you were simply trying to bluff him off a hand when he paired his 5 - again

He luckboxed the 2 and there is nothing more to say about it. Your play and read was spot on the entire hand.

The problem here is that most blind people can actually walk across the street without getting killed, while those with sight frequently get run over, from a driver driving down the wrong side of the street!

If it makes you feel any better, I lost $1800 to AA vs KK at Fox on Saturday. $4200 pot. I missed out on a $8K pot with the nuts after being too scared to follow a nut flush draw when top set made it $600 post flop. Another guy called with his 6 high flush draw and made it on the river.....man that would have been JUICY! Some crazy foreigners at the $5-$10 NL game!

I hate poker, yet I'm dying to be dealt the next hand.
