Chips: 1,129 | | | I'm annoyed Here's the read I have on this guy - He's ATC central - I make the bet post flop to charge a premium for any draws - If he played any two clubs on me than I made a bad play - but this guys loves to bet top pair (doesn't care about the kicker) so I figured I was golden and he also loves to bluff - thoughts?

And just to make this a strategy post (since right now its just a bad-beat one),
I think your pre-flop raise is too much (not that it would've mattered) but post-flop is fine. |

I'm a big fan of the continuation bet, but not in this case. If anything, a small continuation bet, but there are too many hands that beat you. Even tho it was a donkey call, it was such a bad board, it wasn't worth playing so fast imo. It was still early enough that you could have folded to the reraise, but your read was right. I think you could have picked a better spot to go all in. |

You made the right play. He hit his 9 outer, oh well, crap happens. moving on.... |

That's the most amazingly stupid part of wisc.best's call. He was essentially chasing a gut shot and wasn't even drawing to the best hand.
Maybe he figured your flop bet was a continuation bet with two high cards???? But if so, why not reraise you with "top" pair and bluff that he made the flush? Too bad the turn couldn't have been the 5 of clubs.

It was a great read, I mean, the guy is clearly a bad player. I would at least give the guy credit for the ace of clubs, in which case kk is a dog. There are not many hands kk is favored with here, to me, I cry and probably lay it down. However, holding the king of clubs made it a tougher call. I think a case can be made for either play. |

I guarantee you we are way ahead of that range and this is a super easy call.
if you fold this spot a lot to loose bad donkament players than you are playing weak tight poker and you are really going to struggle to cash. | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
