Chips: 4,603 | | | Decent or Donk? Round 1 critque my play! I just re-bought for $160.
everyone else is right about $200-$600
Semi-loose table at the Argosy 1/3
I'm in the BB with 6h 6d
There is a raise to $15 from the cut-off and 5 callers to me. I call.
flop 7 5 5 rainbow
I check, everyone checks around.
Turn
4 bringing two diamonds
I check, everyone checks around.
River
black 6 giving me the full house.
I lead out $20 two folds to then a min raise to $40. Folds back around to me. I raise all in thinking he has a hand that he'll call with. Which he does.
What do you think? I'll reveal the rest later.

But we're not guessing his hand. What do you think of my play?

I figure he probably has something like K 5.
I agree with your push all in, I would put him on 77 or 55 to have you beat.

I think I would have pushed a little on the turn to feel out my opponents. This is the only area I would have done different, After everyone had checked around after the flop, I would assume that the raiser hadn't hit his outs. |

Firstly with $105 in the pot a bet of $20 is pointless imo. I think a bet of $60 will yield much better value in the long term.
I think a bet on the turn would have been a good play to find out where you are, maybe about $40-60 range.
EDIT: I didnt realise you were first to act, I think betting might cause a bit of danger OOP, but I think in position you should bet it, which obv here you are not

As played to the river, my opinion is that your play is fine. I don't mind the small bet, it could look easily look like a "scared" bet (or blocking bet) to someone with a big PP, A5/K5, or someone who tried to steal with 89 and thought they got lucky. I guess if im in that situation and am trapped by 55 or 77 then congrats to the other player for letting it go long enough for someone to catch a hand.
Well... ? |

Forgot to mention in my earlier post, i think re-raising all-in expecting him to call is fine | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
