i think what you did wrong was to bluff the river when he had top pair.

check/call or check/fold, depending on what you think is going on there. also, bet more on the flop. that's a scary board...most possible turn cards are bad for you.

I should have bet more than 1/2 the pot on the flop?

oh yeah. there are a million draws out there, and you don't know what he's got. so what you'd really like is for him to fold. you accomplish that more often by betting 400.

Honestly Mike, No book will do you more good than some tutoring from Jojo. I just cashed in 6 straight single table SNGs (winning 4). This after some excellent words of wisdom from Jojo and littlebu. They were both very consistent with their remarks and I have tried very hard to apply them at all times. I still limp occasionally, but I don't know if I've min-raised more than 5 times since they drilled it into my head not to. I got knocked out early tonight too, but I was a pretty big favorite (4 to 1 on the flop and a little less than 3 to 1 after the turn) when I got my money in. Runner runner clubs took me out.

Back to my point...I didn't mean for this to turn into a brag post (that's on here somewhere)...give serious consideration to coughing up some dough to Jojo. It will be money well-spent. <-------easy for me to say, since I was his test case.

you may be right - no idea where my game is out now - 1st time im ever playing for real $$$ online - the people i play with live are horrendous so i get no read on my game..might be time to make an investment in some tutoring...
