Re: P* HORSE Hand

I would have bet since everyone was showing a paired board and you had a made hand... I'm not Razz expert though.

Re: P* HORSE Hand

u should bet

If they have the draw that they are showing - they should call.

With those boards - it is a pretty simple game. The "obvious" choice is usually the right one. If you are likely to be ahead (and in your case, you had a made hand vs 2 draws so you were ahead), you bet. If you have a lower draw than they are capable of beating, you call.

The raise with the paired 6 was atrocious. I have seen this before two and do not understand - IT IS THE FIRST STINKING STUD GAME. How in the world can you not notice that. I can understand missing the change to high or S8 online - multitablers and people multitasking may not notice at first, it sinks in quick.

Maybe i'm bitter - my guy capped on the deal, on 4th and on 5th ----started with a K up, then TJ9...... and some dreck

Had insane draw on 4th (like 4 to a 6) runner runner runner 3pair

had to check call on 6th, check fold on 7th

if he had ANY card not pairing his board, he won

I

wahhhhhhhhhh

the thing to watch for on a paired board is that a low draw with a pair may be a favorite to your hand. Your highest showing card will usually dictate the correct action.

You have a28K
he has 2344 - they are a fav. Not by much, but that will (and should) call.

Some better players will CR you on this - especially in cash games.

Thanks for input W. I was going to bet and then for some reason I started wondering (without actually trying to calc) what the odds were for one of them to hit their lower draw . Like usual, before I could finish my thought, I had hit the check button and almost immediately felt like I should have bet.

Re: P* HORSE Hand

I agree with W's comments. Even with a rough 8, you were ahead on 5th street. Bet and reevaluate on 6th.

Last week in a small buy-in Razz tournament somebody at my first table obviously didn't know how to play Razz and would raise even with three face cards showing. Unfortunately, I had no playable hands before he busted out and wasn't able to participate in the feeding frenzy as he spewed chips to the rest of the table. Oh, well, maybe next time.

And speaking of Razz, see y'all tonight!

what also helps in situations like yours- is multiple players drawing. They will tend to counterfeit each other at times and make it easier on the made hand.

for precast - you had 4 of his outs, jersey had 2 - and another A was dead. Seven cards gone. Jerseyjim was a bit better off - with 6 outs gone.

Sixth st - they each paired a low card (along with you snagging a low card as well), so wail away. So many of their outs gone, yet pre remained clueless. doesn't he listen to Norm and Chad?
