Poker Books?

Hello Fellow CTers!

Wondering what poker books have been read that helped your game? MUST READS?

I consider myself an above average tournament player and an exceptional cash game player.

I have only read the first SUPER SYSTEM many years ago. I brush off the dust now and then to read over some highlighted areas of interest.

I am curious on books on tells and buffs. anyone have any input on these type?

Thanks in advance!

JAY

I'm not too sure about books on tells and bluffs -- Caro's book is the original guide.

What games (nl or limit) and what stakes, online or live. It will make a difference as to my book recommendations.

Re: Poker Books?

Well, if you are good, you don't need NO book. I think most of the great players didn't get their learnings from a book.

But books help players below the top level. For tournaments, Harrinton's series of HOH 1, 2, 3 are a must.

This is true that a lot of the players who are good now didn't read any books, but there weren't any available to most of them. Now we can get the knowledge that they grinded through to earn for the price of a book instead of the price of a BR.

Edit: Oh and Big Mike asked an important question.

Well, NL is my game and I guess I need more help with my online play. Live games I have quite the roll going. 9 for 10 in winning my last 10 trips. I play lower stakes 1-2 only. Not ready to swim with the sharks yet (Roll wise)

My online play seems to need help, I think I am playing online like its live game. It is a totally different world there ...I have pissed away a nice sized roll on more than one occasion.

I believe that answers your question.
