Would u call

so i was playing a NLH tourny last night at a mates
ud struggle to actually call it a tournament tho on account of the blinds going up every 5 minutes
neway
20,000 starting stacks
6 players left, 7 started
i have bout 40,000 chips
im in the big blind for 4,000
2 folds
3rd position goes all in for ~8000.(woman who plays anything for any reason. especially aces)
button goes all in for ~10,000(this guy is drunk as a skunk and it was nice to get him to make his decision in less than 60 seconds this time. seems to no a lil bit about what hes doin)
SB goes all in blind for 8000
i looked down at 2,7 offsuit

would u call?
We pay out 1st and 2nd

Re: Would u call

Risking 10,000 to win 26,000 in a 4-way pot with the hammer ???

That's a no brainer. Call.

He is only risking 6k for 36k since he paid the blind of 4k. Snap call

Re: Would u call

8000 + 10000 + 8000 + 4000 and 6000 to call
5:1 odds, you need like 16% equity to call.

According to pokerstove:
If you're up against K9o, Q7, and a random hand, you're 10%
If you're up against K9o, 44, and a random hand, you're 14%
If youre up against K5o, 44, and a random hand, you're about 16%

If you fold, you'll have about 36k, M = 6.

I think folding in this spot and watching it go from 6->4 players is better.

Re: Would u call

I only play 72o when I can raise with it. Here, you can't - therefore you must fold.

Re: Would u call

Is this a serious question? The worst hand in poker against 3 other hands?

Fold. Easy. 6 will be down to 4 very soon and you can make a stand with something decent.

Re: Would u call

Hi:

I would be keeping those 6k in my stack, that's an easy fold with that hand.
I'll wait for some decent cards.

Re: Would u call

Flat call?
NO WAY!

Re-raise to isolate!
You want to go heads up with that hand.

(you have more outs that way! )

My mistake. That makes it an even easier call.

Cash game I'd call, tournament I would fold. Once the hand has completed, I'd stay away from the chip leader (unless I have a monster) and try to play the other two in order to eventually get heads up with chip leader.

Edit: It didn't register that the biggest all in was 10K. Yip..snap call is right for the additional 6K. :}
