Chips: 4,603 | | | Which one is my laydown? KK vs AA. Three hands with HQ These are not all my laydowns.
One of them is mine. You pick which one. All are true stories, all are hands that I was dealt in. Not that I had the AA or KK but I was sitting at the table. Each hand has players with AA and KK.
Assume player 1 is first to act and that player 2 has position the entire hand.
1.)
Player 1 ($2/5) $2300 KK
Raises to $30, Player 2 $1500 raises $100, player 1 re-pops to $300. Player 2 calls.
Flop
AK3 no flush.
Player 1 checks, Player 2 pushes.
Player shows his KK and announces that he put the guy on aces when he smooth called. Player 2 shows his set of Aces.
2.)
$1/3
Player 1 $600 calls pre-flop with AA. Player 2 raises to $15 with $250 behind. Player 1 makes it $100.
Player 2 goes to the tank and folds KK. Player 1 shows the AA and says he may be able to make that laydown himself if he didn't have a job and could play poker all day.
3.)
$1/3
Player 1 makes it $15, and Player 2 raises to $30. Player 1 bumps it up to $75, Player 2 pushes all in for $800 which is about what Player 1 has.
Player 1 pauses for a while then decides to muck showing his KK. Player 2 shows his AA and says that it was a great fold, and asks if he would have called if he only raised it another $100.
-----------------------
So which hand is mine?

Hand 2 is you.
I can tell you for sure that none are me.

Hand number 2 seems like you to me for some reason, although I think hand number three telegraphs the AA the most.

Hand 2, of these 3, I think if you're going to fold KK pre, do it here. Player 1 re-raised too much.
Hand 3, I think is you. This looks like a, "I'll stack him when he's drawing dead rather than put it all in pre when it looks like he's got Aces."

Hand 1 was a spunky younger kid with KK that dressed like a thug but had serious game. The other was a local pro who is solid as a rock.
Hand 3. Was a total surprise between to crazy LAGS!

I mean he re-raised and called the 3-bet, I wouldn't do that with less than QQ+ AK. AK would have top-two but has to be worried about the other guy slow playing a set, and only one king in the deck so its the least likely hand I guess. Would be weird for QQ to push into a flop that has two over cards. Then again I always 3-bet push kings so I wouldn't be in that spot | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
