Rafe from sb pushes all in for 1550 more. Shannon calls 1550. Utg calls 1550. I push for 14k. Everyone folds behind me. Shannon folds. Utg calls all in for 6k. Rafe has 78 d. Utg has 84 h. Flop comes jj5. 2 spades and 1 club. Turn 4, river 6. Rafe wins. I win small side pot and I still have 17k.

Rebuy's suck, but it keeps folks in the game longer and builds the payout when you're only doing a $20 tourney.

I like the UTG calling station with 84s. Why doesn't anybody do that at my $10 game?

This WSOP event is famous for many, many rebuys. I guess the big guys see it as lotsa fun at $1,000 a pop. I read that Daniel Negreanu rebought something like 49 times last year. Though I see he's busted out of the current event, still underway.

I hate big rebuy tourneys.
