If there are 5 hearts on the board and no one has a heart, it is a split pot.

if there is a flush on board and both players are playing the board, then it is chopped...pairs are irrelevant here |

if neither has a card in the suit higher on board ie I hold Ah5s you hold As8d and the board is Kd10d3d turn 2d river 6d you win with a flush K10863 flush. If you don't have a diamond the pot is split.

BOARD: KJ843 - all 
A is the nuts (Ace high flush)
Q is the second nuts (KQJ84 flush)
T,9,7,6,5 are the third through seventh nuts
everyone else is playing the board, even the dummy holding the bare 2
