Large (450 player online MTT) tourney. Top 45 cash. Blinds at 150/300. Approx. 120 player remaining.
Table Image: UTG +1 - Very LAG pre-flop, has caught cards several times to remain seated including going all-in pre-flop with 83o and catching a FH
HERO - TAG (maybe too tight), who has only had to show down 3 hands and won 2 of 3 at showdown.
Relevant stacks: UTG + 1 = 2200, HERO in BB with $1400 after posting blind
UTG folds
UTG + 1: Raises to 600
Folded around to HERO with 3c 3d
Fold or push. If you call your down to 1100 and are almost committed anyway. If he is a maniac push...and hope your hand holds up. You need chips to win and you only have 4bb left.
First choice - Fold. Do you really want to put your tournament on the line on a pair of threes? You're an underdog to almost every decent hand and only the slightest of favorites against something completely random like J6o.
Second choice - Push. He might be on some wacky move.
No choice - Call. Why bother? You're going to be down to 1100 with no good idea of what he has and there's likely to be three overcards to your weak pair.
You have 2 options Fold or Push. Like FL70 posted do you want to put your tourney on the line with 33? The villian is a LAG, will he call your ALL IN? Though you need to act quick because you are being blinded away. I put him on an A/10, K/J hand at the least.
you have one option, imo. you have no fold equity and a marginal hand. you're incredibly unlikely to be more than 50% and are fairly likely to be crushed.
you need to think about fold equity with any move you make now unless you have a powerhouse.
I think I have a real problem letting go of little pairs in these situations and it's definitely something I need to work on. Although if the situation had been reversed I couldn't force myself to make the call that he did (of course I wouldn't have been in the hand with Q10). I guess I pushed thinking he may fold instead of risking most of his chips. I was wrong.
Anyway, the flop brought a Q and the turn was a 10 so with no miracle 3 to be had I was done.
I think that is impossible to answer. Assuming that you are at a full or almost full table, I don't know many people around here that would min. raise from UTG+1 with QTo and an M of <5.
That said, I don't think you can push in that scenario and not expect the LAG to call with any two cards.
i would call in a shot.
2150 in the pot, and he needs to call 800.
pot offers 2.7:1, which means that he's ok unless you have QQ+
it's a horrible raise to open the pot, but not a horrible call. your push...also horrible, imo.
Is my adding wrong...
sb=150
bb=300
raise=600
all in=1400
pot is 2450
villain is calling 1100 into a 2450 pot 2.2:1...if he thinks your reraise is any broadway and any pair he is not getting the odds (2:3).
Am I wrong?
