25NL 6max AK, single suit flop

Villain started out short stacked, maybe $10. He calls a lot of raises, and is aggr post flop when he flops something. I'd seen him push the flop a couple of times before, when he was short stacked. Took it down both times previously. I've been looking SLA, raising a decent amount because everyone else was either tight to a raise, or the continuation bet on the flop. And I got decent cards.

Re: 25NL 6max AK, single suit flop

I dunno, man... even with the read, I don't like calling this. There are too many combo draws out there... Ax where x is a decent heart, KJo where either is a heart, JTo where either is a heart, KTo where either is a heart, and so on. Yeah, you might be up against AJo where neither is a heart, but I think the chances that he has 0 redraws is pretty slim.

Against that range, you're getting the right price, but I still like a fold.

I let it go and wait for a better spot. If he's been pushing a lot there will better places to get it in with him.

do you use a RNG to figure out when it's the 15% of the time you call?

Harrington has the answer to that, of course.

I thought that only has to do with preflop raising when you're the first one in... where you don't really have any information to go on as to whether to raise or call? I don't think randomly deciding to call or fold postflop is too smart.

Re: 25NL 6max AK, single suit flop

Boy that flop sucks. The problem with this hand is that first the villen cold called your raise pre flop (which gennerally indicates a good hand in most players anyway) then when 3 hearts hit and you bet out he pushed all in with 2 players yet to act behind him. He has no way of knowing if either one of them has the flush, so he is risking his whole stack against 3 players anyone of them could have a flush already made. This to me indicates a very strong hand, one that he feels that he can't laydown or one that he wants to see all 5 cards with. After reading the hand over a few times I am putting him on A Q, or 9 9, maybe K 9 or K 10 with the Kh's. He could also have a small made flush like 6h 5h, and does not want anyone with the Jh or Kh drawing at him. I think in this spot you are either a small favorite or you are crushed, and I am leaning toward crushed just because he went all in with 2 players still to act besides you. I hate laying down top pair top kicker but sometimes you just have to do it. If he bluffed you well then grats to him, "nice hand Sir". Well thats my two pennys. Sal
