Where did I go wrong with this hand??

Setup
NLTH
Blinds .25/.50
Table 4 people. Tight. (The two maniacs haven't showed yet)

Me I've played a few hands won a few small pots. My stack just above $40 bucks
not really sure by how much. I'm still trying to put this one back together I actually blocked part of it out.

The Person sitting to my right has about the same size stack, but has me covered.
I believe I'm UTG at this point.
I get 67 suited
I raise $1.50 The Person to my right Edit: re-raises to $4 . The other two fold. I call.
Flop comes 6c7c 10s.
I raise $10.
The Person to my right re-raises all-in.
I'm thinking WTF. Is this guy making a move?
I think about this quickly. What could he have? 9 J, naw he would have folded preflop. 9 6 clubs, nope he would have folded that too. Well I didn't think about it too hard. I figured he had a poket pair like KK or QQ.
Well WTF! I called
oops pocket Tens. OOPS
I didn't hit any of my outs

Rebuy!
I was on TILT the most of the night. I calmed down enough later to win a few pots, but I wasn't a factor. Ended up down 35 for the night.

Re: Where did I go wrong with this hand??

So I called pre-flop re-raise with 67suited...ouch I can see the answer to my question all ready. Correction made.

Hero folds.

Jojo are you saying thats the correct action, or thats how you think it would have happend?

Edit: Nevermind I understand now. You were there. I stick with my Hero folds preflop stance.

no, i posted how it happened. also, i'm 60% sure that the hand was 67s and the flop came T76.

that's a small difference, though

Re: Where did I go wrong with this hand??

No I believe he has it right. I blocked out a large chunk of the night. So it's no surprise if I remember wrong. Heck I could barley count out the chips correctly before we got started. I can't even get the starting hand right...I probably should have run that by you before I posted jojo

Re: Where did I go wrong with this hand??

I saw the title and thought "fold preflop" and clicked on the thread.

Yup.

What exactly were your outs, running straight cards for a split, running flush cards? If you flop two pair with suited cards, and the other guy has trips, he has you dead if you pair another one of your cards.

Re: Where did I go wrong with this hand??

I'd have played it pretty similar...short handed, the only hand you worry about getting your money in bad is 10,10...so you lick your wounds and grind it back.

I'd easily play 6,7 suited short handed, and I'll call a preflop raise to almost any player...except a complete rock. Depending on the player and your read of them, you proabably put them on a big pair or AK , AQ. YOu have all of those hands toasted, the only hand you worry about is 10,10...he'd make the same all in move if he had pocket K's or A's. So you just happened to run into the wrong one. No biggy, only $40. Now you've got a rep for playing a wide variety of hands and people might give give more action when you hit big cards or made hands.

Variance, for the most part. You're hoping for AA-JJ here. Unfortunately, he had the cooler. I call there pretty much every time, rebuy, move on.
