Flop a boat. Am I beat anyway?

Posting this hand because it seems that lately whenever I flop a set or better and bet out, everybody folds and I win a small pot. If I slow-play, I end up loosing a big pot. I know that it can't always work that way, but it sure seems like it has recently. I'm only at this table about 10 hands at this point. MP3 may be a litle loose. MP4 has been tighter and has a stack twice the max buy-in at this table.

Can't be afraid of this hand unless you just have a sick read on the other player.

All-in baby

Re: Flop a boat. Am I beat anyway?

There are only a few hands that can beat you & they may be on the draw.

QQ, Q8, QJ, & JJ would roast you....

You've dont have a huge amount invested & MP3 & MP4 sure seem to have liked that Jack! A LOT! 2 pot sized calls & actions back on you for another 11.... your pretty much priced in on this one....

This feels like a train wreck to me, but I probably would call & loose.... I definately call.

Dont tell he drew a straight flush on you

Re: Flop a boat. Am I beat anyway?

push and rebuy when MP3 shows you QJ.

Just think, you could be like me and overplay TPTK into semi-tight players.

Stupid NL.

Re: Flop a boat. Am I beat anyway?

What happened is that I pushed and MP4 shows JJ. MP3 has Qx. Nothing wrong with loosing to a bigger boat if that's the way the cards fall, but it's not a lot of fun either.

Other comments: Do I C/R the flop? On this hand, that probably gets MP4 to fold his jacks and I walk away a pretty big winner, but is that the right move?

Re: Flop a boat. Am I beat anyway?

I posted a thread titled "bummer flop" a while ago.
I flopped a boat and was drawing dead at that point.
My QQ flopped KKQ and my opponent had KK.
