Nice: FT slowroll at PSA?

Quote:
Scott Clements Eliminated 8th ($151,873)
Scott Clements moves all in preflop for his last $423,000. It is folded around to Frank Rusnak in the big blind, who asks for a count before announcing call and showing AclubAspade. Clements turns over 10heart10spade and will need to improve. However, the board comes 9diamond8diamond7club3diamond5heart and Clements has been eliminated from the tournament.
there is a semi-debate going on about whether this was appropriate. thoughts?

Re: Nice: FT slowroll at PSA?

The fact that he asked for a chip count when it's obviously an instacall

Re: Nice: FT slowroll at PSA?

Yes at this stage of the tourney its an insta-call and therfore a slow roll. Only in the first round or two could you argue that he's following Hellmuth's thoughts on folding AA to an allin preflop early in a tourney.

I'd only slow roll my friends like this. Maybe wait 1 or 2 minutes also. Cause thats just what we do to each other.

Yeah it was a prick move. Just punch the guy in the nose and move on.

Re: Nice: FT slowroll at PSA?

they explained it on the circuit the other day....the guy hadn't yet looked at his hand but wanted a count so he could decide how much he would be calling if he did. After he got the amount he looked down and saw AA and insta-called. It seemed a like a slow-roll but he apologized a couple of times and sought the other guy out and let him know it was totally unintentional.

I think it was just an awkward coincidence but no bad intentions.

Re: Nice: FT slowroll at PSA?

what if he hadn't looked at his cards yet? isn't that what we're supposed to do, wait for the action to get to us first?
