I might push here - or I might fold. |

A) Fold
B) Call
C) Push All-In
D) Quit PokerStars Application | I think this is an easy fold.
Let's assume villain will bet the following hands: Villain:{ 88, 66, As9s, As8s, As7s, As4s, As3s, As2s, Ac8d, Ac8h, Ac8s, Ad8c, Ad8h, Ad8s, Ah8c, Ah8d, Ah8s, K8o } Equity: 61.959% Hero: { 7c7h } Equity: 38.041%
As far as chip equity goes: If you raise all in you would be putting in your remaining 2900 to win 4670(490x3 + (100+200) +2900) 0.38 * 4670 = +1175 0.62 * 2900 = =-1798 Total EV = -623 Plus, you still have one more person behind you.
This is an obvious fold because:
1. -EV chip wise
2. -$EV
3. If you fold you still have an M of around 9 which is fine.
4. You have no fold equity by reraising all.
Also is it really worth calling a minraise there with 77? I wouldn't think you have the implied odds based on stack sizes. |

at this point, you're working on trapping yourself. fold. |

I choose to try and accumulate chips or go home here. I push thinking he is trying to drive me out with anything. If he has an over pair, i still have outs with the open ended and the other 7s. not great outs but still. If he has A6 that isnt suited, I am in great shape here. Personally, i push here. If i double up here im in good shape to get deeper into the money, which is where i want to be. I dont want to be in a 10 dollar tourney for 3 or so hours and win 17 bucks. Just not my thing. Im going for final 2 tables at least. |

Chips: 7,748 | | | Re: Push, Call, Fold, Quit? OK - I still don't like to just auto-fold this. If it is an auto-fold - then we should not have called the initial raise to begin with. Playing this for a set and a set only is gonna be a money loser....
Like I said though - I would need to know how this guy bets - what he's shown down - what the other guy has been doing before I could decide what to do here. |

Chips: 1,818 | | | Re: Push, Call, Fold, Quit? Why call the 490? puts you at $2900 or so. its about 15% of your stack to hit a set. I'd either shove or fold preflop.
If you shove and double - you're still roughly below middle stacked at the table.
It depends how you want to play. Either I'd wait for a big hand and shove and hope to triple up, since doublings not going to help a huge amount..... or fold preflop and save the money.
That $1k post flop bet smells. either a high pair trying to stop a straight or flush draw or someone with a 79... you're open ended... and hosed if he has 79... you'd be drawing for a push - yuck! OR its a semi bluff.
You've got the right position, but I dont like the $490 preflop call..... I'd rather be dropping raises in that position vs. calling a 2X-ish BB preflop raise.
Its not an autofold, but its darned close.

Chips: 7,748 | | | Re: Push, Call, Fold, Quit? I'm just curious as to what the people saying FOLD were looking for on the flop besides a 7. This flop is pretty good.
Should the discussion really be about whether or not to call that $490 pre-flop? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
