If the first guys raise to $20, and the second guy says, "I raise pot" and throws a black chip, then the raise is to $100. "I raise" + black chip = $100.
I corrected it to specify that I was talking about a PL game... If a dealer can count the pot in PL, but counting the pot is not allowed in CO, what is one to do?

Re: "POT" Ruling Discussion

And as a **FINAL** clarification as to the math... the 17 that was in the middle... the rake hadn't been taken out yet. Had we seen the turn, the pot would have been raked. We were short handed, so they give us the benefit of the doubt and drop on the turn in a lot of cases.

Re: "POT" Ruling Discussion

If the bet of $20 took down the pot, I don't think he would have got callers with a bet of $100...

Ah poops, that's a good question. Anyone? Law doesn't apply to PL? Maybe there is no PL in CO?

Re: "POT" Ruling Discussion

I'm only on page 3 of this thread, so this may have aready been stated. When it comes to the rake, dealers extract "units" when a pot reaches a certain size. They then "reset" and rake again when enough bets are made to extract the next unit. They don't keep an exact total in their head at all times and calculate percentages.
