I typed this out, then the weirdest thing happened, and it's gone.

Anyway, here is a little what would you do question, in two parts.

First off, after our tourney game on Friday, 5 of us wanted to play some more so we started a little short handed tourney. T15k in chips, 25/50 blinds, top two pay.

In the first level, someone was already busted. It wasn't a really aggressive game or anything, although it seems like it. One guys had AKs and another had A9. The flop was A9x with two hearts, and it was a bet, raise, re-raise all in, call, with both players trying to protect their hand from the flush.

So, we are now at the second level. Here's the situation:

Hero is OTB with roughly 16k
SB sitting with 13ish
BB with about 15-16ish
and UTG with 30ish (this player is aggressive with the chip lead, and lucky us, he has us all 2-1 this early)

Hero is dealt and limps in after UTG limps. SB limps in also, and BB checks the option.

Flop:


SB bets 500
BB calls the 500
UTG raises to 4500

What do you do here? Next is what I did, and the second question.








I decided I wanted to raise, try and push out the SB and BB, and get heads up with UTG. I counted out some chips, and decided not to push it all in, but to keep myself a few thousand incase all hell broke loose in the hand.

I raised to 12k
SB moved all in
BB called his all in
UTG re-raised all in


Now, what do you do?

you have to assume someone has a set, period.

you could guess someone has 6-2 and someone else has 6-7.

you are dead to runners for a chop. I would get disgusted and fold in less than 10 seconds. someone is definitely going out on this hand, and with your remaining 4000, you're still in okay shape with 25/50 blinds.

Yep, say a prayer and call. You've got 3rd nut with no redraws but I can't see anyone folding here unless they just have a sick read on someone else.

I'm guessing 1 player has trips (poor bastard) but at least 1 of the 2 remaining players has a higher staight. I think you gotta fold (I hate the wheel)

Maybe the short stack has the nuts and you'll at least get part of the sidepot.

It Looks... bad but you gotta call in this situation. At this point the only hands that beat you are straight 2-6 or 3-7. I'm thinking the someone has a strong pair they're trying to protect or they limped with 6 duece or 3- 7 and are pushing that other than that hope for a sidepot. BTW how 'bout those Tigers
