Chips: 61 | | | Stop the PRESSES!!! Aces win, Aces win!!! 25 man tourney. Down to 16. 2 tables, I'm second in chips and first to act, blinds 100-200. Button is chipleader. I get dealt Aces. and I limp only because the table has been fairly tight. Everyone folds around to button, he raises to 500, SB and BB fold to me. I reraise to 1000, button calls.
Flop is:
I check. He says 5000, which almost puts me all-in. So I go ahead and say all -in. He asks, "you sure?" He immediately calls and tosses over A K. Flop and turn were blanks.
This was the perfect flop for me. Setting him up big time, TPTK no good! HE called me a bastard but thats ok, I'm the bastard with his chips. I didn't see it as a prickish move do you? |

Go ahead and RR AI PF here if you think he's got a real hand like AK. AK can call preflop but if he misses you miss that other 700 chips or whatever.
edit: I can flat call here 30% of the time or so and play it from there too. Just don't like that commiting raise without getting it all in.

Not a prickish move at all; it is poker after all. Limp in UTG/UTG+1 with AA is somewhat standard at an aggressive NL table but at a fairly tight/passive table, it can be dangerous if no one reraises and 4 limpers see a flop. Personally, your min. reraise PF should have been a huge warning sign to the button. Personally, I think about it for a minute and then push PF depending on stack sizes and tournament position and say something about him trying to steal the blinds. |

He probably would have called your AI with AK thinking he had the best hand and an opportunity to bust you. |
